THE SEMINARY PRESS CLUB
The press club of St. Theresa Minor Seminary was founded in 1920. It is an association of journalists and reporters, dedicated to giving the latest news updates, latest information, gists and rumours in and outside the Seminary.
The Seminary Press Club (SPC) is constituted by many members blessed with the gift of creativity and the talents of broadcasting news, writing poems, articles and jokes. The members of the press club are divided into various sectors of mass media communication such as sports, entertainment and news updates.
We are responsible for creating awareness of the happenings in the outside world to the Seminarians, since they are confined within the four walls of the Seminary. We have one-on-one interview with dignitaries and personalities for example an interview with His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Felix Alaba Adeosin Job (Metropolitan Archbishop of Ibadan) on the 24th of June, 2008, when he marked his 70th birthday.
The Seminary Press CLUB is a society that boosts the intellect of the Seminarians by organising several intellectual events like quiz and debate, poem recitation and essay writing competitions.
SPC is one of the best in the country and has proven its worth by winning several awards at external competitions. In conclusion, St. Theresa Minor Seminary Press Club will show you that there is more to the press than meets the eye.
THE POULTRY/ANIMAL HUSBANDRY CLUB
In order to put into practice the theoretical lessons done in the classrooms, we have a poultry with over 400 layers for the practicals of the Seminarians and it also serves as a means of income generation for the Seminary. The same is the case of the animal husbandry in which we rear goats, sheep, pigs and cows.
